We stayed in a one bed studio that had everything we needed. Good location to the Gondola and one really good service is being able to leave your snowboards/skis at the Gondola base. Good happy hour in the evening, breakfast was good but the buffet need to be varied at bit more as the same every day. The bus to and from town was really good but also the local ski bus is opposite so really easy to get around.

We had a 2 bed, 2 bath condo within the hotel with fantastic views of the mountain which were particularly spectacular at night when the hill was lit up for night skiing. Breakfast was included every day which was a real bonus. The bar and restaurant within the hotel were excellent with lovely food and drink. The hotel is in a perfect position, just a short walk to the gondola and chair lift with the added bonus that skis and boots can be left overnight with the free valet service right by the slopes. Housekeeping every day was good. There is an outdoor swimming pool and two, great, large hot tubs. Also, a liquor store which stays open till 10pm every evening, accessible from inside the hotel, must be good!

The Steamboat Grand was the epitome of convenience. A level 10 minute walk to the Grand's own free boot storage (half of this being within the hotel itself!) and a couple of flights of stairs down to their own ski valet storage, a stride across from the gondola. There was a nice outdoor area with a pool and separate large hot-tubs for kids and adults, with drinks available. The buffet breakfast had plenty of hot and cold options including egg dishes to order and really set you up for the day. The studio was far more spacious than the 300 sq ft quoted. Our one criticism was the housekeeping, which we had cause to complain about several times. In fairness, however, these problems were rectified promptly. We would happily choose the Grand again.
