Lakeland Village was perfect in positioning to ski Lake Tahoe area. It is a resort complex which can be very busy especially at weekends. The chalets seem dated when compared to European facilities but if skiing 7 resorts then the chalet is just acting as a base. The shuttle service offered by the resort is excellent when taking people to and from local amenities. The driver recommendations were exceptional and allowed you to sample all types of restaurants / bars.

Great value for money, kitchen was excellently equipped better than most self catering accommodation. Breakfast was good but over busy weekend they couldn't fit all the guests into the tiny room. Shuttle was very convenient but we found it just as easy to leave the skis in the car and drive everywhere. Only one of their pool areas was open due to refurbishment work but hotel was quiet so this was fine. Rooms were spacious and clean, not all rooms were en-suite but this is reflected in the price. I would recommend to a family or large group we went with 15 ranging for 1 year to 62 years old and was perfect for our group."

My ski buddy and I stayed in a 1-bed/1-loft room apartment in the Lakeland Village (directly opposite "The Brewery") The suite was warm/clean and surprising spacious. The skiing in Heavenly was great, especially if you ventured over to the Nevada side (Motts Canyon is not recommended as a first run! save it for Day 4/5) We stayed for 10-days, and visited a number of other resorts in the Lake Tahoe area - must visits are Northstar (beautiful), Squaw Valley (for experts) and Kirkwood (for complete nutters!) We ate in a different restaurant every night (not that the room's facilities were lacking - we were just lazy!) and everyone was great. Special recommendations go to the curry house (a surprise to find in the US) which was amazing. We will be going back!

Our 1 bedroom 1 bathroom townhome was huge for 2 adults and 2 teens. Compared to European skiing accommodation it was very spacious and well equipped. We greatly appreciated the breakfasts, swimming pool and hot tubs, daily housekeeping, and the helpful friendly staff. The shuttle bus service is excellent and although we had a car we used the shuttle bus (on request they will take you anywhere locally and pick you up later) a lot. We are used to ski in ski out but our ride home on the bus to our front door after skiing was a little treat we looked forward to. Blue Water Bistro at 3411 Lake Tahoe Blvd is excellent.

Thanks Ski Safari for great advice and fantastic value for money. The Lakeland Village in Heavenly proved to be an ideal choice for our family reunion with everyone catered for - young and old alike. Lots of space, well equipped, warm and cosy and enough bathrooms! Although we had a car, we used the shuttle a lot, the staff were really helpful, fun and lots of banter on our way home with the other guests. We appreciated the breakfast too and the younger members of the party took to the spa in the evening, while we enjoyed a glass or two before dinner. The local Mexican is really good too! Look forward to the next time.

This is really nice accommodation in a good location. Although quite a way from the main Heavenly gondola, it is closer to the California Lodge. The houses are spacious with large bedrooms, ideal for families and groups of friends. The rooms were serviced every day and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment and a dishwasher! The Village runs a fantastic shuttle bus that will take you wherever you want to go and drop you off at your door -marvelous. As they weren't full they gave us a much larger town house closer to the beach. All in all a good place to stay.
