Heavenly Ski Holidays

Heavenly is pretty hard to beat. The variety of terrain is endless, the accommodation is incredibly affordable and the locals are some of the friendliest I have ever met making it suitable for families, couples and groups alike. We love it!

Heavenly's unique ski area straddles two states, giving views over Lake Tahoe to the west and the Nevada Desert to the east.

California’s largest resort, Heavenly’s slopes also descend into Nevada. The resort receives more than 300 days of sunshine each year and, over the years, our team have had some fantastic fun on Heavenly ski holidays.

The extensive terrain includes serene tree skiing and gentle beginner slopes, along with the challenging Gun Barrel moguls. The lake and desert views are incredible and, with several other resorts around Lake Tahoe, you can ski up to seven on your lift pass, making this a great base for an affordable self-drive ski safari.

Off the slopes, South Lake Town is the main hub, with bars and restaurants at the base of the Heavenly Gondola. Fifty yards away are four casino resorts with nightclubs, bars and restaurants - sipping an enormous margarita at Cabo Wabo after winning your fortune on blackjack is certainly a unique way to end your ski day, or you can avoid the casinos by sticking to the lakeshore hotels.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Great central location for skiing a number of ski resorts

24/04/2014 Jo Cheyney

As usual just what we wanted, we were able to drive to other resorts - we had a Tahoe Value pass which was great and very easy to use. Heavenly is a typical American resort - very little resort 'atmosphere' but skiing - especially for time of year good, quiet, no queues, plenty of lifts and runs.

Just a quick email to thank you and Andy for the best ski holiday yet! The snow (or lack of!) meant that there wasn't as much of the mountain open as we would have liked, but the skiing (and boarding) was still fantastic - Kirkwood and NorthStar access was a top idea as it opened up much more skiing and the trip to San Francisco was a nice wind down before coming back. The corner room at Lakeshore was gorgeous and when the weather eventually did close it - it was great to sit by the fire, drink wine and watch the snow storms descend!

Jade's Mammoth California Adventure

16th May 2016 - Jade Pritchard

What a year to travel to the sunny state of California - over 10 metres of snowfall and 300 days of sun! Flying out to Los Angeles, I snowboarded at Mammoth Mountain and Heavenly before finishing my trip in San Francisco (via the outlet malls of course). Travelling to California is becoming much...

Winter Has Arrived

27th November 2015 - Craig Charley

November - or should it be Snowvember? - what an incredible month of snow. Pre-season has beaten all expectations and with most resorts now open, the snow continues to fall heavily. If December is anywhere near as good as November, we could be looking at a very deep winter. USA California Last...
