A straight forward drive from Denver gets you into a world class resort in 2 hours and the Beaver Run Resort offers everything you could want. The resort is a short walk into town or use the complimentary bus if your legs are shot. The rooms are clean and well serviced but request Building 4 whose ski storage room exits direct onto a Green run serviced by 2 high speed chairs to get you directly onto the 5 peaks. Don't be put off by the trail map showing only Black runs on Peak 10 as when groomed the steeper terrain offers a safe progression onto harder slopes, the double blacks are however a great challenge. While there make full use of your rental car and visit the nearby resorts of Keystone, Copper, Vail and Beaver Creek - you are spoilt for choice but each has its own special features. This is without doubt my favourite location in the world due to the scope and variety of terrain available within 50 minutes drive of your Breckenridge base. If you have never skied North America take the plunge and try it, you will even have friendly chats with the locals on chair lifts and while in the minimal lift queues.
