I had never heard of Big Sky before and did very little research before my trip. It came as a total surprise to me that such an expansive, varied, classy and powdery resort was sitting there in south west Montana. This place has got it all from shallow cruisers to frightening terrain parks and shutes. We also spend a day over at the linked resort of Moonlight Basin and I would recommend this optio…

Loved Big Sky - totally underrated. Snow was fantastic, variety of terrain great - loved the bowls and trees - was totally empty - loved the village at the bottom - had just enough shops / eating options to potter round. Loved Bucks for for dinner and the Italian at village centre was very good. Peaks at summit was lovely and liked cabin too - bit more rustic.

Been skiing 30yrs. and just got back from the holiday of a lifetime. Went to Jackson and did heliskiing, Big Sky and Grand Targhee, everything was superb, well done to James and Ski Safari. It has something for everyone but the off-piste and tre…

Big mountain (for US). Had 1 week in Huntley Lodge mid-Feb 2008. The accommodation interior is stuck in a 1970's time-warp and not in a cool, kitsch way but the enormous buffet breakfast more than makes up for that single deficiency. If you can get over that, the rest of the resort is fantastic. Great variety of terrain - seriously expert steeps/chutes, flattering open bowls, "thinned out" and nat…

Had a great couple of days out here when the weather at Jackson Hole was getting too warm. Great off-piste and great cruisers plus plenty of opportunity ridein the trees. Conditions here were good whilst jackson Hole was turning to slush. Its a couple of hours from Jackson though - we drove there and back twice in two days but it's well worth it
