A big ski area, easy to navigate, very attractive. Small base but everything you need. Good food (excellent meal in Peaks).

Fantastic ski in/ski out accommodation, with a vast amount of ski terrain for all abilities. this resort has great powder bowls, chutes and tree skiing

This is a big mountain but a small resort, all grades of skiers are catered for and it is not unusual to be the only person on the run

Really enjoyed it. We went onto Jackson Hole which is much more upmarket and sophisticated and that possibly made Big Sky more appealing. Been in Jackson Hole 3 times and really like it but also liked the more laid back atmosphere at Big Sky. Restaurants in the Mountain Village are limited and we finished out in the Village Centre in the Valley a few times to eat which is ok but a bit of a trail. …

Hidden little gem, no queues not too busy even in the holidays. Friendly atmosphere lots to do. Plenty for all levels of skier. You won't want to come home

We went to Big Sky in January 2011. This was our first visit to Big Sky, following several visits to ski resorts in Colorado and the Canadian Rockies. The journey is pretty long - with transfers and waiting between flights it can take around 24 hours to reach the resort. Once there however, it is unbelievably quiet. Someone on a lift in Vail told me that Big Sky had everything and was just about the best. He was right. The Rockies here are glaciated much more than in colorado and this means a greatly varied terrain with bowls, ridges, couloirs and gullies.
