Limelight Hotel Snowmass Customer Reviews

My family and I stayed at the Limelight Hotel in Snowmass, from 13-21 Apr 19. I couldn't believe that this hotel had only just opened in mid Dec 18. All of the staff I spoke with really wanted to be there and they were all good at their jobs. Chad Bennett the Operations Director had clearly hit the jackpot with the team and has hit all the right notes since; it was a pleasure to tell him that. From front of house to the kitchen staff and cleaning staff' we found all pleasant and professional. My children took a particular shine to Maureen on front of house, who was lovely and very friendly. The room was very clean, and cleaned to a good standard daily. The room location was excellent on the ground floor close to the ski valet and convenient to the gym and spa area. My children loved the climbing wall and the staff in there were so very friendly (hats off to Andrew for getting my boys involved; they've both been on a climbing wall since their return to the UK). Having the kids area by the restaurant really added to it. It was excellent for us as it allowed the kids to do their thing whilst us parents caught up from a great day over a cool, happy hour beer, either in the bar area or outside in the fresh air by the outdoor fires, (which added a certain charm when it got dark in the evenings). Tom on the Ents desk was absolutely fantastic. On more than one occasion, he gave recommendations or made reservations for us, all of which were excellent. Would we return? We absolutely plan to. I have no doubt that the ski conditions and how quiet the resort was, added significantly to our experience, however the Limelight hotel in Snowmass is well situated, well run and very well staffed to give an excellent family experience. Well done to Chad and the team.

Brand new hotel so it was in very good order. The food was excellent although pricey and we ate out most nights. Excellent breakfast. Large rooms with great fittings, TV, lights, balcony, twin wash hand basins. Great outdoor hot tubs. The comments we read online helped before we arrived such as there such as the external door to the ski store not being locked. We therefore locked our skis in there as we do up the slopes. We also noted online that the vehicle entrance is underneath the hotel and we therefore went straight there. Without this information it may have been difficult to find. We have never been so close to the gondola which is next door so no delays getting up the slopes. We with skied back up to the door to the hotel ski locker. Well thought out. Reception staff very helpful. Again we noted from the online comments that some of the waitresses were not too friendly and we agreed. There are not only complimentary buses to Aspen etc but local buses run all day and these are free too.

The Limelight is light, airy and modern feeling. Food and drink are excellent, with the continental breakfast a highlight. The rooms were comfortable and big, while we managed to snag a ski-in, ski-out balcony, which was a bonus. The shuffle-board, games area, immense climbing wall, and particularly the hot tub were a real hit with the whole family. There were a number of extras that we discovered nearly too late, like the free guided piste tours, and the complimentary Audi 4x4s, so make sure to keep yourself appraised of all the things the hotel offers.
