Saas-Fee Ski Holidays

High altitude and snow-sure, this relatively small resort has a dramatic backdrop of tumbling glaciers. The 4,545m ‘Dom’ is the highest mountain in Switzerland and towers over the chocolate box village. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Alps’, the views here are truly breath-taking.

Beginners and improvers have easy blues and not-too-challenging reds, while nervous skiers can feel at ease on the unintimidating terrain. If you’re eager for more, catch a bus to neighbouring Saas-Almagell for its sheltered woodland slopes and Saas-Grund which is a great place to catch the afternoon sun on wide and cruisy pistes. Saas-Fee also has an excellent terrain park featuring jumps, rails, boxes and plenty more. There is also a mini park near the village for people looking to try their hand at freestyle for the first time.

The picturesque village has charming timber buildings and narrow cobbled streets with cafés, boutiques and cosy bars. Better value than many Swiss resorts, Saas-Fee ski holidays have an unpretentious vibe. It also has a ‘quiet streets’ policy after 10 pm which adds to the serenity of the village, but don’t worry if you're looking for a late night out - the nightlife carries on behind closed doors until the early hours.

With plenty of off-slope facilities and family-friendly attractions, we love the welcoming buzz here. Sledging, skating and torchlit trails are among the non-ski activities, and every Wednesday the ‘Snow and Style’ show takes place at the base of the mountain with a torchlit descent, show acts and free mulled wine afterwards.

Saas-Fee is a car-free zone, so you’ll be transferred to and from your hotel in an electric vehicle. As a result, the air in Saas-Fee is always crisp and fresh.
