Saas Fee Ski Holidays

A traditional ‘chocolate box’ Swiss village surrounded by 4000 m peaks. The views in Saas Fee are truly breath-taking. A great resort for families and first timers to Switzerland, Saas Fee's high altitude means that the slopes are snow-sure even in late season.

Easy-going terrain and panoramic scenery make Saas Fee a stunning place to ski, while the car-free village is a favourite with families.

High altitude and snow-sure, this relatively small resort has a dramatic backdrop of tumbling glaciers. The 4,545m ‘Dom’ is the highest mountain in Switzerland and towers over the chocolate box village. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Alps’, the views here are truly breath-taking.

Beginners and improvers have easy blues and not-too-challenging reds, while nervous skiers can feel at ease on the unintimidating terrain. If you’re eager for more, catch a bus to neighbouring Saas-Almagell for its sheltered woodland slopes and Saas-Grund which is a great place to catch the afternoon sun on wide and cruisy pistes. Saas Fee also has an excellent terrain park featuring jumps, rails, boxes and plenty more. There is also a mini park near the village for people looking to try their hand at freestyle for the first time.

The picturesque village has charming timber buildings and narrow cobbled streets with cafés, boutiques and cosy bars. Better value than many Swiss resorts, Saas Fee ski holidays have an unpretentious vibe. It also has a ‘quiet streets’ policy after 10pm which adds to the serenity of the village, but don’t worry if you're looking for a late night out - the nightlife carries on behind closed doors until the early hours.

With plenty of off-slope facilities and family-friendly attractions, we love the welcoming buzz here. Sledging, skating and torchlit trails are among the non-ski activities, and every Wednesday the ‘Snow and Style’ show takes place at the base of the mountain with a torchlit descent, show acts and free mulled wine afterwards.

Saas-Fee is a car-free zone, so you’ll be transferred to and from your hotel in an electric vehicle. As a result, the air in Saas Fee is always crisp and fresh.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

The village is very picturesque and quiet. We loved the mountain scenery and tranquillity. Everything from the ski hire to the ski lessons for our sons was very efficient. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very, very quiet in April.... Great!

Excellent resort for families. We were there late in the season, quiet but good snow conditions. Being small it is easy to get about and it's good for non-skiers with cable cars to access most of the slopes.
