I love this resort. So clean and friendly with great skiing and mountain restaurants.

Åre was a lovely resort, great variety of red runs, good for friends or family holiday. The people were so friendly much more so than the Alps. Very few Brits have found this resort - a refreshing change. Mainly frequented by Swedish and Norwegains. Food good up the mountain - not too expensive. Alcohol is though.

After recent years of unreliable snowfall and overcrowded pistes in France, we were looking for a European alternative and were inspired by watching the Are Murders on Netflix to check out Sweden and we absolutely loved it. Virtually no queues (the only times we queued were at the weekend when Are hosted the Ladies World Cup races and the lifts were restricted) empty pistes and plenty of challen…

Great variety of pistes, you need to like T-bars though - not many chairlifts!

Great ski area with good variety of slopes for beginners through to advanced. Perfect for a family holiday.

An excellent, well resourced winter holiday destination.
Staying in Are village with beautiful views of the lake and easy access to the slopes and the many nearby shops and restaurants was a winter pleasure.

A beautiful resort with plenty of skiing during the day and now floodlit slopes too. A great friendly and relaxed atmosphere with lots of families.

Great resort, lots of variety of runs and excellent snow, even in April.
