Great hotel with bonkers apres ski which was hilarious and then it all cleared away by 6pm to become a lovely boutique hotel again. Reception staff were a bit miserable and the rooms are quite small but a great location and we would stay here again.

Great location - can't get any closer to the lifts if you tried. Nice Scandinavian rustic decor, great lounge with an open fire. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food on offer and live music every afternoon from 4.30 to 5.30 pm giving you an opportunity to try and join the locals in dancing in your ski boots. Getting into town is very easy thanks to the funicular just outside the hotel. …

Hotel was lovely even though there was a bit of a hiccup with the room which was resolved. We were half board and the meals were excellent.

Quite spacious, no room service. Breakfast was ok if you got there in time. Good food at lunch and dinner. Staff friendly and helpful. Good English. Spa lovely.

Nice hotel, great for apres with live band. Ideally suited for couples not families. Food options not great for children in the evening.

The Fjallgarden Hotel, with it's fabulous location halfway up the mountain and linked to Are village below by the historical funicular railway is the epitome of 'ski out' and 'ski back in' with the piste located just outside the door. It couldn't be more happily situated for ski-in/ski-out and après ski. Makes a cold day on the hill very enjoyable when you can ski down, warm up, have a micro sleep and be back out again drama-free.

Our superior room was acceptable but left us underwhelmed. The beds only had 6” to the walls hardly spacious. We wondered if the hotel has a higher than superior standard room. Finally the ski in ski out makes this hotel the one to stay at despite the slightly poor room quality.

Loved this place had all the ambience and cosiness. Staff ere helpful and friendly. After ski here was just fab. Rooms aren't luxurious but adequate. Shameth steam rooms were not Working but hot tubs were. Very relaxed and easy going. Amazing breakfast. Menu a little less impressive and pretty limited in evening but fine for our burger eating boys.
