The hotel was situated on the quieter side of the resort in beautiful surroundings. It had a traditional Norwegian feel and was welcoming and modern. The staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were well presented with a very comfy bed and there was always hot water, no matter what time of day you had a shower. Only negative was that the maid service was a bit sporadic, sometimes in the morning, mid afternoon or early evening. Both breakfast and dinner in the buffet restaurant were excellent and there was a wide range of things to choose from. Even on busy evenings, such as New Years Eve, the quality of the food remained high. The two set times for dinner worked well and meant the restaurant was never overcrowded. It was worth paying extra for the spa access, although it did get busy at weekends. Lovely After Ski Bar on site with live music and a tasty lunchtime buffet of goulash and lasagne! Although be sure to request a hotel room away from this as the music could be heard in our room directly above it.

Stayed in a 2 bed apartment within the Mountain Resort Residence Radisson Blu. Ski in ski out, ski hire by hotel and given ski lockers. A bakery on site for fresh pastries, bread. Buffet breakfast, dinner available with an enormous selection to choose from. Apres ski bar restaurant on site. Buses are complimentary and go to the supermarket. Lovely mountain restaurants to choose from. Great wi fi. Overall an amazing holiday. Slopes were not crowded, only time we had to wait for the lift was at the end of the day to get back and on the weekend at the base of Trysil but it moved quickly.

Our third time at the Radisson Blue Mountain Residences. The rooms/apartments offer plenty of space for four (two adults, two children) and are well-equipped with everything you need to fully self-cater. The rooms can get quite warm, so leaving a window open at night and the radiators on low or even off is a good idea. Even when relatively busy the hotel is pretty quiet - although it is a bit noisier in the first couple of blocks, by the time you get to C, D, E and higher blocks it's really quiet. With heavy snow during our first two days, we were woken up by the snow ploughs clearing the car parks at 5am. Being able to ski in and out is brilliant.
