Great resort for beginners and whilst visibility was a bit challenging on a number of days, the snow conditions were fantastic with a good amount of fresh snow on most days. Getting to the 9am lessons was a bit of a challenge with the lifts not opening till 9am and being quite busy first thing. The bus leaves at 8:15 and gets to the lessons by 8:20 so there's a lot of time waiting around. Having a shuttle for the lessons or even just opening up the button lifts for those attending ski school a few minutes earlier would be very helpful and alleviate the morning stress.

This was our 3rd visit to Trysil. We had considered trying another Scandinavian resort this time, but children wanted to go once more..halfway through holiday they all said can we go again next year? They all love the variety of runs and close proximity to each other to mix things up each time as well as never takes too long to get back to the base area from any of the 4 sides. They like being able to leave the piste from blue to black runs and ski through the trees or do various levels of fun parks with kickers, boxes, burns etc.. And never any worry about falling off steep cliffs.

10 out of 10, short flight, transfer coach very organised, lovely hotel with pool, spa, bowling and pool tables, good snow & wide range of slopes, hardly any ski lift queues, ski in & out very helpful, lovely people & delicious food, thank you for recommending.

This resort was perfect for our family. Our group had two adults and four kids (age ranges from 4-14). The ski rental shop and lockers were alongside the resort so it made the pick up and leave off of gear very convenient. There was also a shop to pick up anything extra that we needed. The ski in/out aspect suited us well once the little kids figured out how to use the lifts and there were plenty of appropriate slopes for learning on. The lessons we received were brillian and everyone was relatively competent skiing by the end of the week-even our four year old, who it was a joy to watch learn so quickly! The instructors were kind, patient and knowledgeable, so we really appreciated that. The views, quality of the snow and general feel of the resort was brilliant and we would certainly return to Trysil!
