Our end [of the resort] was a small compact resort with easy access to slopes. The area was well sized for a week of skiing with young children just starting off / building confidence.

Norway and the resort of Trysil was recommended to us by Helen at Ski Safari. It turned out to be an ideal resort for myself as a beginner ski and my partner who is more experienced. Trysil is a beautiful, picturesque resort, well worth the transfer time of around 2.5 hours. Stayed in a 2 bed apartment within the Mountain Resort Residence Radisson Blu. Ski in ski out, ski hire by hotel and given ski lockers. A bakery on site for fresh pastries, bread. Buffet breakfast, dinner available with an enormous selection to choose from. Apres ski bar restaurant on site. Buses are complimentary and go to the supermarket. Great for us as first time skiers with kids. Was a bit surprised that some of the facilities closed early and were sometimes not available over the Christmas period (bowling ally at hotel etc).

Ideal for a short break. Easy to get to and everything is close by when you get there. Good snow conditions for December. Enough variety of runs for a few days. Really friendly people. Efficient ski lifts, ski hire etc

I would go again. Very good for Europe. Quiet report. Good ski-ing. The Norwegians are very courteous on the slopes. No-one goes to Norway for the food and drink.

This is the second time we have stayed at Trysil as a family and we have really enjoyed it. So much so we are going to go back twice more this year. Ski instruction was excellent - Sabine and My did a fantastic job. Great resort for families and particularly beginners like us. Ski in & out was very handy as was night skiing. Resort best suited to beginners or improving intermediates. Snow was good & it wasn’t busy.
