Excellent resort for first time skiers...ski school, equipment hire, slopes and accommodation all in close proximity.

It was our second visit to Trysil.... and hope not the last one. It has variety of the slops, calm and friendly atmosphere, reliable snow in April, easy way to travel to and from.

The resort was good for what we needed in terms of beginners slopes and all easily accessible. The only issues we found a couple of the runs on the piste map were marked green but were in fact blue when we got to them, which was quite challenging for one of us and caused us to miss the last lift and order a taxi due to the time it took to complete the run. Trysil was excellent. The accommodation was perfect for what we wanted; the weather was great, and the skiing was fab.

Very family-friendly resort, as promised. Good range of pistes from greens through to blacks, and even one expert black piste (although we didn't take the children down that one). There are still a few t-bar lifts (not a family-favourite) but through clever map reading and planning, we managed to avoid them and stick to the chairlifts. Really good late season family resort. Being able to ski in the trees on good snow in the second week of April was a real novelty. Although not a large resort by Alpine standards, there was just about enough to keep us going for the week.

Another excellent holiday. The ski safari transfer to the resort made it even more convenient than usual. Sabine and Anton were excellent instructors from the ski school.

Love the resort. Great for a family. Beautiful empty slopes, no lift queues, well organised and friendly people. Not much going on during the evenings so not great for someone looking for a lively apres ski environment.
