Trysil is an all-round great resort for families with loads of challenging runs, but equally lots of beautiful rolling tree-lined, picture postcard runs to relax on. This was our third time in Trysil - it is always fantastic (and very cold in December we discovered!!). Trysil has it all. From blacks to green runs. Plenty for all skill levels. Plenty of tree runs. Fantastic for beginners and children. Will be bringing back grandchildren to leant to ski here as facilities are so great. Sälen airport is the most brilliant airport again with good children’s facilities, only 40 mins away from resort. Can’t fault it. We will definitely be back. Loved every minute.

This is definitely the best side of the mountain. We were on the other side before and there were too many flattish runs. The new chair lifts are great making it easy to get over the mountain. We loved the hoods and heated seats on the chair lift.

A great introduction to Norway Skiing. Pistes beautiful in treeline. Limited restaurant options but with limited accommodation and high pricing may be difficult to support business.

Good choice for families. Much bigger than most Norwegian resorts with decent selection of runs. Lift queues not bad for half term, particularly relative to the Alps.

Wonderful selection of ski runs, excellent tuition, and good snow. Not a huge amount to do off the slopes, and can be windy high up.
