Radisson Blu Resort Trysil Customer Reviews

The accommodation was clean, modern and perfect for our family. We had a deluxe 2 bedroom, we overlooked the nursery slopes and had a lovely view of Trysil town in the distance. The room had lots of storage for all our gear and was really toasty and warm. We stayed half board and it was some of the best restaurant food we have had. So much choice at breakfast, although it was busy it wasn't crowded and they didn't run out of anything. We had buffet all week, possibly because it was half term, and the choice was vast. There was always something different to choose. Be prepared for a big spend if you want a drink with your meal though, eye watering prices for wine!

We had two king size bedrooms and a sitting room in between, two wetrooms, hairdryers, toiletries etc. We also had a kettle and coffee. Our balcony overlooked the first tow of the day and was perfect to sit out on wrapped up at night with a wrap round you and a nice wee glass of something. Something mesmerising about watching the piste bashers in the dark! The hotel itself was exceptionally well heated, the bar area was lovely, dining room perfect as was the food which I challenge anyone to say they didn't find anything they liked, it was superb. The boot room was ski in and ski out which makes a big difference. We used the swimming pool several times and it was lovely especially if you visited before the slopes emptied and got it at a quiet time. Would definitely recommend the accommodation as that is really it there aren't a lot of other places to visit nearby. We lunched at the Mocca bar which is part of the Radisson everyday and it was superb for lunch, great value for Norway. Bagels second to none!

A great friendly and warm hotel, felt like being at home. All the facilities under one roof and ski in ski out. The hotel is a large spacious hotel with a friendly and welcoming persona. The public areas are spacious and plenty of room to sit in the evenings after dinner for a nightcap or two. Facilities include a large swimming pool, bowling alley, spa treatments, and other various apres ski activities, all of the highest order. Food at the weekends was a buffet, the food was of excellent quality, quantity, with a large choice of on offer. Mid week meals were off a standard menu, whilst the quality was excellent we did have the same menu for the remainder of the holiday. Considering the buffet style menu at the weekends, the midweek menu somewhat short of the mark. I think the hotel are in the process of reviewing this menu? The hotel is a great base for skiing in Trysil.
