Radisson Blu Prestige Apartments Customer Reviews

We stayed in a Radisson Blu one bedroom Prestige Apartment. The open plan lounge diner and kitchen space was so spacious and light that we ended up spending far more time than we had planned because it was so lovely - especially early in the evening with tea lights glowing on the mantle (holders provided) and the (gas) fire burning in the fire place. The bedroom was small and the bed a little too soft for our liking but very clean and because it had an additional wardrobe to those in the main living area (with the drying closet) allowed us to keep clothes completely separate to our ski gear, which is always welcome once 'second wearing' of the latter becomes a ski trip necessity. We ate in all of the restaurants around the hotel. As advised in our Ski Safari info, it was best to book for Brasserie T and Hill Breakfast & Buffet. Brasserie T offers a more adult atmosphere and finer dining experience while still being comfortable and laid back. The breakfast options in Hill Breakfast and Buffet are extensive and cater to every taste and the evening buffet was also really good and great quality and selection, although we only ate there one evening during our week-long stay. Our favourite restaurant option was probably La Piazza. In part because they don't accept reservations so you could just turn up and have a drink in the lobby bar if they couldn't accommodate you immediately. Aside from pizza, the menu isn't extensive but the ceasar salad is really good and offered a light way to finish the day - particularly as we tended to eat fairly late after the main rush had died down a bit. Chill dine and bowl was probably a little less value for money on the half board option than the other restaurants but the burgers and chips are good and an hour's bowling was certainly a fun way to spend one evening of our trip. Sagbruket, the hotel sports bar is only open Thursday to Sunday and doesn't do food but was still a great little spot to have a quiet drink as the slopes closed down for the night and the button lift that goes past outside drew to a close. All in all, we really loved it. Once you've got your head around the slightly confusing lay out of the hotel and worked out which stairs or lifts to use to get you to the various places you want to go (Swimming pool and spa access on 2 along with the fitness room and Chill; boot room and slopeside access on 3 with the entrance to the spa for treatments; reception, lobby and all the restaurants and bars on 4) because not all the stairs provide access to all the floors.

The apartments were spacious and clean and beds comfortable. A few more English speaking or sports options on television wouldn't have gone amiss. The hotel location is excellent and is definitely ski in ski out. The facilities - swimming pool, surfing, bowling are brilliant for families for late afternoon activities. Dining options can be a bit limited late season, but quality of food in the main pretty good.
