The Prestige apartments are great. Your own little home on the hill. There is everything you need (except a laundry). The 2 bed option gave us a fully equipped kitchen, which was a useful change, as well as 2 'bathrooms' (there are only showers in the apartments here - no actual baths - which is a bit disappointing although the showers are good). The ski room locker system works very well and the location is ski in/ski out if you aren't in ski school (when there isn't time to get down to the lower lift and up to the ski school location before the class starts because in Trysil, everything starts at 9am - lifts and schools) but it's only a short trek up the hill to the magic carpet to get to ski school anyway so it really isn't a show stopper. The food is good and varied and it's great to have the variety of different eateries within the same location and all included (although sometimes with a small supplement) within half board. We love to option to have a 'quiet night in' with a takeaway pizza in our apartment in front of the fire (and the TV) and that still be included within the half board option. All of the staff are completely lovely and after a 2 week stay, we felt we knew a number of them personally. The spa options are great too. Free use of the pool, hot tub and sauna as well as the added benefit of a pay-in-resort 'private' spa which is a completely relaxing haven of tranquillity once in a while throughout your stay.

Great ski in ski out facilities. Food and accommodation of a high quality. Apartment was a great size for the 9 of us (2 families). Lower bunk on the bunk beds was wider than standard which was useful for our teenage boys. Upper bunk would probably have been a bit on the small side. Really well equipped kitchen if you wanted to cater for yourselves (we didn't). Buffet food the best option of the three restaurants included in half-board. Lots of options for everyone and easiest for the teenagers in the group to be able to consume enough volume at breakfast and dinner! Pool is more for recreation than exercise which was fine for us and our boys enjoyed the novelty of there being a climbing wall there too.
