This is a beautiful although slightly more remote resort with easy ski-in/ski out facilities. Rooms are simply but neatly furnished and the hotel several cosy communal areas for après ski. Accommodation at the hotel comes with use of the gym and swimming pool/sauna too - extremely welcome after a day on the slopes. Food was a high standard too, with an extensive breakfast buffet and a choice of menu for the evening meal. Slopes are wide and uncrowded in the pre-Christmas period. Ski school instructors were helpful and friendly but considering the price of lessons, needed to start more promptly and consider lesson progression. Equipment was excellent - well-maintained and much of it new.

A pretty, charming resort - we loved it - a good mix of runs; actually well suited to the intermediate skier; plenty of enjoyment to be had on the blues and greens :-) it was also great to ski on a number of different sides of the mountain… with all the main areas serviced by chair-lift / gondola. There was also a great variety of on-mountain cafes, in good locations spread throughout the resort .. and with very different styles - actually we felt more so than we had found in other Norwegian resorts - my son and I particularly loved Koia, which had a great vibe, was a great place to finish a days skiing/snowboarding, chilling in the sun being really close to our hotel; the GudbrandsGard.
