For a three day ski trip, this resort very much meets the bill. Fabulous snow conditions, a good variety of runs, and best of all, very quiet. We only had to share a chairlift once! The runs themselves are well groomed and often wide, so an intermediate skier can really hone their skills. There is always the Olympic run if you want to really push yourself. Set over 3 areas, all joined up, keep things interesting. Also some very good restaurants and bars scattered over the resort. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable place to ski.

If what you are looking for is a scenic, quiet, under developed resort (i.e. not all about aprés ski and shopping), with a great skiing for intermediate skiers in particular, then Kvitfjell is perfect. We met a few locals who were very friendly but surprised that British people had travelled to their resort because Kvitfjell does feel a bit like a well kept secret... empty slopes and we rarely had to queue more than a couple of minutes for lifts, if at all!

The resort is absolute ski in/out and is brilliant. The slopes are generally not too challenging so ideal for those new to skiing or like me of an age where nice cruising is the order of the day. We went mid January and the slopes were basically empty - brilliant if you're used to skiing Austria or France. At the weekend it got busy, with queues at the 2 main chair lifts, but they weren't excessive. Snow quality was brilliant all week, very little evidence of ice and lots of powder for off piste skiers (not me!). Overall I was impressed with the area and would return. There is a downside in that there is no town or shops in the immediate area and not much in the way of apres ski if that's what you're after.
