Great resort if kids are just learning, all slopes accessible directly from accommodation and excellent ski instructors for the kids. For more experienced skiers the runs are quite short and the severity and number of runs a bit limited. So probably not the place to go for advanced skiers. Fitted our brief very well, but as now the kids can tackle all slopes and runs may fancy somewhere more challenging next time.

Hemsedal is great for young families. The ski school is well organised, good value and more importantly, great fun for the kids. You never see any children reluctant to go. There are also plenty of areas on the slopes for the children like ski-cross, fun slopes, slaloms, snow parks and secret bits through the trees. The SkiStar App meant we could track our friends (& our kids in their lessons!) so we didn't have to arrange to meet up. There's also areas in the snow parks where you can zap your lift pass and it records you going over jumps! There's a really nice cafe at the top of the main chair. The black runs are limited but there's some lovely reds and blues. It's a great resort for mixed ability groups & families to all ski together.

We had an amazing Easter skiing break in Hemsedal in the modern and cool lodge suites. Everything was perfect from the pre holiday service, booking and checking us on the plane, to the lovely thank you gift prior to departure and the holiday itself. Skiing in Norway although slightly expensive in compared to the Alps was great with amazing snow conditions. My husband and I really enjoyed skiing again and our first timer kids picked up skiing really quickly and absolutely loved it. We cannot wait to ski with you again.

Ticked all the boxes, great snow, fantastic for beginners and families and very easy to get around. Loved Hemsedal, very picturesque. Great skiing for families and beginners, the amount of snowfall made most pistes accessible for beginners and intermediates. Very cold but manageable with the right gear. A few restaurants to choose from on site and a short bus ride into town with many more shops, restaurants and bars. Fireworks on New Year's Eve were incredible.
