Perfect for our first family ski trip- easy access to slopes, bus was easy to get to the other side. Not much really challenging skiing so if you were after that would not recommend. However it worked really well and there was enough for the week to keep us occupied. Nice and quiet really, although would be keen to come away from Easter as suspect it would be an even more pleasurable experience.

Very nice Hotel, traditional Norwegian. So convenient for skiing. Station a little small but able to catch a bus to a near by ski area.

A perfect family resort. Everything you need: slopes on the doorstep; great instructors, delicious food and plenty of snow!

Great resort, food fantastic, accommodation excellent, very family friendly but also great if you are only adults. Slopes wide but relatively short and uncrowded (even during Norwegian holiday) great for carving.

Geilo was excellent - perfect place for beginners. Our girls had never tried skiing before and within 3 days they were up the top of the mountain with us! When it snowed on Friday it was magical!

A great resort for beginners, wonderful snow conditions and wide open slopes. Quality of lifts/ski hire is excellent. Quite a few button and t bars which can be a challenge for boarders. Occasionally chairlifts were closed in high winds. Chidren's ski lessons are short (1hr 20 mins) so not much time to explore the other side of the valley.
