Third visit to Geilo in four years. Excellent facilities, quiet slopes, no ques friendly staff. We always use the Bergen to Oslo train to get to Geilo. One of the most spectacular journeys in the world. Excellent service with a kids play area in the family coach. Plenty of space for baggage and equipment and friendly efficient staff. We had a minor issue with NSBs ticketing and seats which Ski Saf…

Geilo is perfect for young children to learn to ski. This was our third time here. The ski school on the Geilolia side is fantastic, Hilde and Oliver need a special mention! After one lesson our 4 year old was able to ski with the rest of us pretty much all over the mountain. The lifties are great with little children and the slopes are so quiet that you can let them go on ahead without fear of th…

The resort was very well maintained and managed and lift staff/ski hire/nursery/ski school etc all very helpful and friendly. Situated in a pretty valley with skiing both sides. The lake at the bottom is beautiful as you ascend on the chair lifts.

A relatively small resort with plenty of gentle skiing on wide pistes. There are two areas either side of a flat valley linked by ski bus running to a fiendishly difficult to understand timetable.

I didn't actually ski but my son (4) had his first lesson and its a perfect resort to start skiing. Gentle slopes, magic carpet on the kids slopes, playground nearby and lots of fun things for him to look at whilst skiing. The instructor he had and everyone else spoke really good English, putting us to shame with our lack of knowledge of Norweigwin. Would definitely come back

Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday - as a single Mum, it met all of my expectation's and the help that I required. My little boy had a ball and was sad to leave Norway! I loved Gelio. A great place for children to learn the ropes of skiing. As a good skier, I did feel that the runs for me were not that challenging, but all the same I really enjoyed it and more importantly it was a great pl…

Uncrowded friendly family orientated resort with good ski school and access to beginner and intermediate slopes. for the advanced skier the options are more limited and the two ski areas not well connected but he ski bus which could be improved. Night skiing and off-piste opportunities after fresh snowfall are good.
