Bardola Cabins - Exterior
The cosy and characterful authentic Bardøla Cabins are tucked away in a quiet wooded location on the outskirts on Geilo, a short walk or bus ride from the slopes and town.

In 1971, Elsa and Egil, the pioneers of the Bardøla Cabins, realised their dream - they moved a complete mountain farm, built in the 18th century to the Bardøla.

Today this wooded area, with 26 characterful cabins, is right next to the hotel. They're well equipped so you can prepare your own meals and close enough to the main hotel and village if you'd like to dine out.

Lovely 4 bedroom cabin set in the woods but within an easy walk of the town and the slopes on one side of the valley.

Beautiful, quiet, typically Scandic (ie not too much in the cabins but enough). 2 upstairs bedrooms were very small though - as a family of 4 it was OK but the cabin was advertised as up to 8 people; that would have been a squash. That was the only issue though, reception was very helpful and it was very relaxing.

Lots of space in the cabins, great food at the Bardola (half board definitely the way to go) and great facilities for children with a swimming pool and games room.

We stayed in the Directors cabin with extended family and thought the accommodation was brilliant. The beds were comfy, plenty of hot water, lovely lounge area with open fire and lovely views. We also paid for half board in the hotel and found the food to be excellent quality.

My husband, two children and I and my friend and her family loved these cabins. We went for four consecutive years and it was the perfect place for small children to learn to ski. The Bardola facilities were fantastic, we swam after skiing each day and ice skating was available on the tennis courts. It was brilliant being able to eat what we wanted when we wanted.
