We had the best time in Gausta. The snow and conditions were amazing and we had a great range of skiing for our family. I would highly recommend Gausta and Ski Safari made the whole process seamless.

Small friendly resort in a beautiful setting

A lovely resort with excellent snow. The slopes were not busy at all and my kids loved the ski school with wonderful instructors. We had skied most of the runs by the 3rd day so I think for more advanced teenagers and adults they may want more slopes. The food on the slopes was excellent but limited.

A great resort with plenty to do on and off the slopes. The hotel was lovely with friendly staff and amazing food. The skiing was great with something for everyone. The slopes were never too busy and we hardly queued for a lift. Be aware there are T bars and pommas as well as two chairlifts. Gaustaski centre was great for a lunch break or after skiing with a fantastic bakery and Stova for pizzas.

Very small, all services close at hand. Picturesque. Skiing great for families but may be not for adult beginners.

Gausta is a calm and beautiful haven, albeit the lifts can get busy when not all runs are open. We enjoyed the option of so many walking trails as a nice alternative when the slopes felt crowded. We also made use of the free bus to go to Gaustatoppen and into Rjukan to the museum there.

Stunningly pretty resort set amongst the trees. There are quiet, wide-open runs and hardly any lift queues. We had snow most days and some great off-piste powder. Possibly the best resort I have been to.

Great resort for a hassle-free ski week.

Great resort. The ski area is not huge, but it provided excellent skiing for the week, with well managed and quite pistes and no lift queues!
