5* Ryokan Sakaya

Nozawa Onsen, Japan

Sakaya Exterior
Sakaya is the premier ryokan in Nozawa Onsen and offers an authentic Japanese hotel experience.

Rooms are traditionally Japanese with tatami flooring and futon beds. The dinners here are exceptional, so if you're not staying here on a half board basis, a meal here is definitely recommended. The hotel's hot spring is among the best in Japan, believed to have the power of healing. There is a moving walkway which transports guests up to the gondola only a 2 minute walk away from the ryokan. A Japanese-style breakfast is included for Ski Safari customers.

"The onsen here is just fantastic! The rooms are traditionally Japanese and the service is phenomenal. Not to mention its location in the centre of town and right next to the moving walkway bringing you up to the Hikage gondola and base area."

Customer Reviews

What our customers say about Ryokan Sakaya.

More Japanese than the others with a slightly challenging breakfast though a more western option was available. Very friendly and attentive staff. There was a private onsen in the hotel which couples could book.
