Phoenix Hotel, a boutique style accommodation located in the popular Wadano area of Happo-One.

The Phoenix hotel is located near the main skiing mountain in Hakuba, Happo-One. Rooms have been stylishly designed maintaining Japanese characteristics such as the tatami floors, futon beds (western bedding also available) and shoji screens. In-room amenities include wide screen plasma TVs, Cable TV, iPod docks and high speed internet access. The restaurant, Mimi’s, is an excellent fusion of Western and Japanese food.

4 stars! Loved it except for the tiny beds! Comfy but very narrow! The Onsen is brilliant! Never ate at Mimis as it was extortionate! Lots of brilliant eating options available outwith the hotel and on the mountain

Many thanks to Andrea and Rich for helping to sort out a great holiday in Hakuba over Chinese New Year, especially at short notice. Everything worked really well including the stopover in Tokyo on our return home. Will look forward to your help for next year's trip, which we are now planning!
