Based out of Golden - a town in the valley close to Kicking Horse - the heli-ski area is a few minutes flight away and covers over 2000 square kilometres in the Purcell Mountains. Founded by one of the grandfathers of heli-skiing itself, Rudi Gertsch, and recently joining the CMH family, CMH Purcell's guides know the terrain better than anyone else. CMH Purcell is also the closest operator to Banff, making it easy for day trips from Banff, Lake Louise, Sunshine and Revelstoke.

Skiing/boarding takes place on alpine glaciers and open slopes, as well as in the trees and gladed areas of the subalpine forest. There are around 200 runs offering every conceivable type of mountain terrain and exposure.

CMH Purcell groups by ability in the field, with groups up to nine guests covered by three guides. That means you're more likely to be with similar ability skiers and boarders, getting more out of the day.

"CMH Purcell's aim is to offer you a thrilling but comfortable mountain adventure at a relaxed pace and to share their mountain playground with you."
