We had a short visit in Vancouver (just 3 nights) in March 2012 and we had a great time. We spent our first day cycling around Stanley park - first around the sea wall and then into the park to see some of the attractions. This was a fantastic was way of seeing the extensive park, and some of its animals. We finished the day with a delicious dinner at the Teahouse restaurant, with views of a beaut…

What a clean and friendly city. We tagged this city break onto the end of our ski experience in Whistler and it was well worth doing. There is so much to do and see even in Winter and the Fairmont Pacific Rim is in a great location, very modern and high tech.

Rupert recommended Hotel Rosewood Georgia in downtown Vancouver for a city stay at the end of our skiing holiday. This was an amazingly luxurious hotel in a great location for getting round the city and for accessing the skytrain back to the airport. A great end to our holiday.

Vancouver is absolutely beautiful. If you are travelling all the way to Whistler, extend your stay for a couple of days and get to see this jewel of a place. Fabulous setting, friendly people, minimal traffic. Watching from the hotel room as floatplanes took off from the waterfront into the pink dawn sky was unforgettable.

I am stil…

An excellent city to get over your flight before taking to the slopes. Plenty to see and do, or just to chill.

Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver was very nice, although getting a little dated. Concierge service was one of the best we've ever come across - as well as knowing the city, they know BA's website issues better than BA do! Downtown Van is totally dead on Friday evenings so didn't get the best impression of the city as the only people in the restaurant - food was fab though. Shopping was disappointi…

Stayed at Long Beach Lodge in Tofino- a beautiful accommodation in a spectacular setting. Tagged it on to the end of a skiing holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it, only regret that we didn't have longer there. Hotel restaurant was superb. Hope to go back some day. If you go whale watching take travel sick pills!!!
