The feeling of isolation is quite amazing for being only a few minutes out of Nelson. No phone signal or site of habitation (other than the ski resort infrastructure) gives the feeling of being well off the beaten track. The skiing is fantastic and varied and in a unique location.

Loved Whitewater. Had a great local/family/friendly vibe. High, so possible to ski back down to the base whereas other resorts were struggling with the poor snow cover. Runs are fairly short but lots of good tree runs. And of course the cafe!

The skiing was superb and it had a great vibe. Unfortunately, we hit it on family day weekend, and even so, we didn't have much of a queue for the lifts. Everyone was accommodating and friendly. You really felt to be up in the mountains, quiet and secluded with no cell phone reception, it was amazing. I'm sure we'll be back.

Beautiful resort. It is steep (some of the blues would not be blues elsewhere). Excellent tree skiing and lots of ways down. Uncrowded due to relatively limited uplift (no queues though). Glory Lodge excellent warming spot.

After a first day riding firm snow and wondering what we'd signed up for it dumped for 24 hours and we had two days of great powder skiing. Even though the locals hadn't seen fresh snow for about ten days the lift queues were actually fine and everyone was really friendly. It's a great ski hill with some fantastic tree skiing, not too tight, and you really do feel you can go anywhere and still f…

Whitewater is a great ski area and the glory chair offers some great tree runs. Plenty of snow when we went (March 2018), but the mountain gets busy on good powder days. We spend a bit of time queueing to get to the car park. Good food at the lodge! Recommend it if heading along the powder trail or through Nelson.

Funky town, many choices for evening, Food in Whitewater base lodge is the best in Canada. Small area with big snow, which is needed for a small hill.

“Simple, pure, real……..deep” this really does sum up Whitewater perfectly. If you are looking to show case your new designer ski / snowboard wardrobe, don’t bother NO ONE will be looking or interested !!!! Whitewater is an authentic Canadian locals’ mountain and that is how they want to keep it. If you are on the hill it is for one thing and one thing only …….. to make some lines This is no…

Despite poor snow conditions there was enough for good skiing and the resort is excellent.
