Amazing resort with lots to do if you want a day off from skiing. The people were so friendly and the pistes and snow were amazing. Ski School was also excellent. It is a little pricey, however with the groups being a maximum of 4, the tuition is very personal. Having had lessons in Europe, these were far superior. Both mountains were amazing to ski and the scenery on the Peak to Peak Gondola was breathtaking. There was an excellent choice of restaurants and après ski was great fun!

Whistler, when it's good it's one of the best. And lucky us, this year has been an excellent snow year. I even heard it said that it was the best start to a season in 40 years. There is, of course, more to a resort than the snow, but those features are most definitely secondary. You're their to ride! That said, you really can't go far wrong with the other aspects to Whistler. Lively, yet restrained apres. There is no shortage of great food to be had - we particularly enjoyed Sachi Sushi. For those of you that want to, there is plenty of retail therapy to be had too. Whistler is a very well organised and run resort. Which is just as well, since we heard we were there on their busiest ever day with 32,000 people on the two mountains. It meant that there was a fair amount of queuing to (philosophically?) navigate, particularly to get up the mountain from Whistler Village. However, the organisation of the queuing system and the strict adherence of people on the slopes to the etiquette meant there was none of the tension of a European resort queue. Surely it can't all be good? Almost the case, but not quite. Whistler is all about rules and at times it has a nanny-state feel. Whistler Blackcomb seem to own virtually everything in resort and charge handsomely whatever the service, so it is also quite an expensive resort. However, plan and budget accordingly, travel with the intent to really enjoy your riding, and I am very certain you'll have a very memorable experience.

Really enjoyed the set up and variety of skiing. Lift system dated compared to the top resorts in the Alps. Would not bother going there at peak times.
