Still No 1 after 20 years of visiting! The all round family holiday resort, virtually unlimited skiing, excellent hotel and huge selection of places to eat at all budgets.

Fantastic resort, so many slopes to ride and superb back country riding too. Although it rains a lot in the town, this does mean that there is a lot of snow (snowed for 11 of the 13 days we were there) and so the slopes were in great condition. It can get very busy at the weekends so some careful thinking is needed to structure activities and picking the right time/slopes to ride to make sure you don't get caught in the crowds. Lift queues are the most polite I have ever encountered! Amazing restaurants too, Araxi and Hy's are well worth visit if you want a change and something a little special.

We got to exploring Whistler as soon as we could the next day. Whistler is a bustling resort with a strong village vibe. It has a lovely layout with many shops and good range of amenities. The ski hire places are well stocked and what we have come to expect from a high level resort. It was very easy to fetch our skis from the rental place - all of which are integrated but Ski Safari had selected the one closet to our accommodation and the gondolas, so this was perfect! Then straight up the gondola onto the slopes! First thing in the morning (from when the gondolas open at 9 til about 10am) there is a bit of a queue but this get moving quickly and everyone is super polite and happy to have a nice chat whilst you are waiting, so it was all good

Excellent resort lived up to expectation. Lots of on and off piste skiing. Good information on open lifts/pistes. Plenty of Apres Ski, and restaurants. Ski service good, especially liked the way you good store hired ski's at bottom of Gondola. Enjoyed the non skiing activities - Zip line and Snow Mobiling. Plenty of others I didn't get a chance to do. Only possible negative not enough mountain bars.

Resort was great, loads of terrain for all abilities. We had good snow base but conditions varied, apparently because it's near the coast they can get a lot of cloud and fog. The highlight was skiing through the trees and gladed trails, which you don't get a lot of in the Alps. The hard bit was figuring out that Whistler pisted runs aren't always groomed (which they are in Austria or France) so that took some getting used to, but they did have a live app telling you which runs were groomed or not. The town was large and lively, some great restaurants.
