Great skiing and variety of terrain. Snow was getting a bit thin midweek but then we had fresh snowfall at the end of ur stay. The resort itself is compact and easy to walk around. Picking up our ski passes and equipment was easy and the kit was stored at the lift base every evening for free so no lugging of gear in the mornings. The feel of the resort has changed over the years. Previously very friendly and relaxed Canadian but these days prices are much higher and you’re more likely to be served by an Australian on their gap year. Ziptrek is a must! Great for a rest day from the slopes with great views and commentary from your guides. The queues for the lifts in the morning can be horrendous so get there before 8:30 or wait until after 10. Similarly, pick up rental gear early. The shop shuts at 5pm in the shoulder season so there is not much chance to pick up gear the day before your first slope day.

Stayed at Creakside At 600m not a high resort. Alpine at top rain and sleet at bottom. Vast number of runs with good uplift but busy at long weekends Fridays worst. Really scored as had fresh snow all holiday. 70cm in one night on the Sunday. High winds and vast amounts of snow affected the lifts with delayed opening and most high lifts being closed some days for safety. This did not affect our skiing as there was still ample mountain to be explored. With low cloud affecting visibility “ we only had 2 hours the whole 10 days where a small bit of blue sky could be seen” skiing in or near the trees was preferred to the whiteout of the top runs. When the top lift opened we did a peak to creek run, I have never skied such a varied conditions in one run. With whiteout conditions and high wind we skied blind to the snow bowl had a glorious pitch in powder down to a ridge run. Then power in between the trees on to a steep mogul field with the softest bumps you could hope for. Then onto a wide open run with 2 to 3 feet of untracked snow that got wetter and heavier as we descended. Taking great care the more lumpy and sticky the snow turned it suddenly turned into spring snow and turning became easy agin as we came into the lift at Creakside. Had everything we wanted within a short walk of accommodation.

Great resort with plenty to keep skiers and non-skiers happy. Great choice of slope activities and the skiing was superb. Good choice of restaurants and enough shops to keep the best shopper happy.

Resort - lots of varied ski-ing no queuing excepted started to get busy around 23rd December we were recommended to leave and spend a few days in Vancouver which was great before going to Sun Peaks. Restaurants needed to be booked in Whistler if you wanted to go to a certain one. Spent a day in Squamish watching the bald headed eagles which was well worth the trip. Only had one "white out" day, then slopes very busy next day with all the fresh powder.

We've skied in Whistler once before so knew what to expect. Didn't disappoint. Some great new restaurants since we've last been. Mountain very well run and conditions immense. We also used Extremely Canadian for a steeps clinic to explore some new lines and they were fantastic (if other guests are looking for recommendations). A few big lift queues around new year, but not unexpected for the time of year.
