Four Seasons Resort Whistler and Residences Customer Reviews

I've been lucky enough to stay in a number of Four Seasons resorts around the world, particularly in Asia. The Four Seasons in Whistler is right up there with the best! We had 2 adjoining rooms which were spacious and extremely comfortable without being ostentatious. Service throughout the hotel with uniformly excellent with no weak spots at all. The ski concierge service, where your skis & boots are stored right next door to one of the lifts is inspired. At the end of the day's skiing, one can spot the little orange tent from up the Blackcomb Mtn where one skis to to drop off your skis. Then it's a 50 metre (!) walk to the concierge where the staff will offer to take your boots off for you (!!!) before storing them overnight where they are are heated.... There's even a shuttle bus to take you back to the hotel if one can't manage the 5 min walk... The hotel's spa & pool are fantastic and do use the desk concierge service for advise on restaurants etc - they have all the latest menus. If I was to quibble, and this is really trying hard to find fault, then I would criticise the breakfast bread selection - no fresh baguettes, loaves etc. But the fruit is excellent. And lastly one might expect flat screen TVs in the rooms. Otherwise I can't fault it.

The staff at this hotel could not do enough for you. Great breakfast choice - although pricey - we did not need to eat for the rest of the day after having the breakfast buffet - so it probably balanced itself off. 5 minute walk to base of Blackcomb mountain and a hot tub and yoga class when you got back. Massages again very expensive but well worth the additional cost - staff some of the best in the world.

The Four Seasons is a modern, luxurious accommodation. Whilst offering first class levels of service and accommodation it does so in an unpretentious and subtle way. The level of comfort in the rooms is first rate and the ski concierge service is a real bonus, particularly if you find yourself skiing into the base of Whistler Mountain. The hotel's location may not suit everyone, particularly those looking for a lively nightlife on their doorstep, but it will certainly appeal to those looking for a relaxing end to a hard day of skiing.
