A great resort, everyone is so friendly, speedy lifts, great snow and the best tree line skiing anywhere.

Sun Peaks is via a considerable margin of the friendliest resort we have ever seen. Everyone, from the airport transfer, through the meet and greet/reception, the lift operators to service staff in shops and restaurants were genuinely amicable, and frequently started conversations with us. this a huge contrast to the usual European indifference shown by such folk. Turning to the skiing, while we went in search of powder and found little because of the vagaries of the season, the piste skiing is really impressive. The resort has planned and created so many runs that we had not scared them all by the end of the 10 days. When we did get off-piste after the small snow falls, it was evident that there was endless terrain to explore and we could be happy there for years. The lift system is very cohesive and there are only two bottom lifts in the whole resort, so most lifts are comfortable chairs. I can imagine in a cold wind that they could be a challenge, because only one is covered. The food is classic Canadian and in self-catered accommodation it would not be a gourmand‘s paradise, save for those with transport who can get to Burfield, where there is a fantastic delicatessen. Night/bar life is sufficient for those who don’t want to party heavily-luckily we did not have young adults with us, who might have found going to bed at 9-10 pm a little limiting! We will definitely go back if we have the chance.

Fantastic resort for all abilities 3rd time in resort and plan to return again.

Despite being Canada's 2nd largest ski area it remains very much 'out of sight'. There are runs for all abilities, from scary double black diamonds to a green run from the very top to the bottom. The resort has a twice daily ski hosting service which is great to learn the resort or just to ski with if you are on your own. Facilities at the resort are limited in the supermarket/ordinary shop sense but there are plenty of different watering holes and eateries.

Having skied at a number of North American resorts over the last 20+ years, Sun Peaks is right up at the top of the list for us - this was our 3rd visit in 6 years so good enough to keep us coming back. There's a great variety of skiing for everyone in our party from those who want green and steady blue options to enjoy, through to something a bit more challenging for those who feel the need. The village is excellent with a good variety of services, the hotel is ideally located and there are friendly staff throughout the resort. We would highly recommend Sun Peaks!
