A friendly resort, no lift queues, plenty of room on slopes. The Resort was very clear that run grading system shouldn't be compared to those of other resorts. But.... Compared to Sun Peaks the Green runs were significantly harder and the Blue runs a no go for me this time. So felt limited. Supermarket not adequately stocked for self-catering, with limited choice to eat out. Hour round trip to Invermere on a small bus that couldn't always cater for demand.

This is the first resort I've ever been to where other skiers said "Don't tell anyone about this place". The range of slopes was excellent and the ski in/ski out to our accommodation couldn't have been better. There were amazingly few other skiers despite the quality of the snow and the range of runs. If you like off-piste and want to improve your tree skiing, this is as good as we've ever seen - and we have over 100 years of skiing experience between the two of us! We've skied widely in Europe and North America and this resort goes on our list of "must do again". It was extraordinary to ski the Taynton Bowl with absolutely no-one else in sight anywhere in the bowl. Eating on the hill is limited but adequate. As a small resort, there isn't a huge range of restaurants in the centre but, again, we had had no complaints about price or quality. The T-Bar Grill was a good place to eat and to have a drink at the end of the day. The bus into Invermere worked well for grocery shopping though Invermere is a bit bleak and limited itself. It seems to be more of a summer town, focussing on golf. The negatives for Panorama are few - the transfer from Calgary is fairly tedious (3.5 hours one way in the dark and 4.5 hours the other way in a blizzard - so we didn't see much!). For anyone used to skiing in Europe (especially Austria) the lifts are old and slow but we didn't have a queue in the 9 days of skiing. Overall, a great experience.

Excellent! Perfect skiing conditions. Very well designed with perfect placement of lifts with a good incline - as a snowboarder, you never have to walk. Excellent coffee.
