We have just returned after a week at Panorama Mountain Village resort and have sent them an e-mail to pass on our thanks to all their staff who have contributed to the best skiing/boarding experience we have had in our 8 years of winter sports holidays. All the staff were professional, friendly and positive and this high standard of customer service was consistently delivered by all staff (housekeeping, lift staff, all resort services and ski school). Too many names and examples of excellent staff service to name them all, however we were made to feel valued by the staff that often acknowledged us by name or remembered us from previous meetings during the holiday. The snow conditions were superb, along with the quality of the resort and enthusiasm of the staff proved to be a winning combination. Throughout the whole experience client satisfaction appeared to be the highest priority and the service exceeded our expectation. Ski school was excellent. Booking arrangements etc spot on. Thank you for convincing us that Panorama was the resort for us which matched our budget and requirements yet exceeded our expectations. Look forward to future holidays with Ski Safari. I have to say when I booked with Ski Safari I wasn't too sure about them and how they managed to get such a cheap price. But I have just returned from a week's boarding in Panorama, Canada and I have to say it was one of the best hassle free holidays ever. I am 19 and this was my first holiday booking with my friends and they helped me book, organise, and answer any questions I had - overall an awesome holiday. Thanks to Anikka Burton for organising the whole holiday for us I will be using them every year now!

Today is the last day of our 10 days in Panorama and we are so sad to have to leave. Its been snowing for over 48 hours solidly now and the powder is just AMAZING. The conditions are the best I have ever come across and the terrain is really well maintained. There are a good variety of slopes and the chairs are quick and reliable. No queues, even at the weekend....Panorama's by far the best Canadian resort we have skied. The village is friendly and the staff abundant, almost 1 to 1 on some days and there are lots of food outlets to chose from both on the slopes and in the village. Carricks, (a few minutes out of the village by free shuttle) does fabulous Italian food and everywhere is very child-friendly. Overall a truely fantastic holiday that we'd recommend to anyone. Panorama is one of the few slopeside resorts serviced from Calgary airport. This was a big bonus for us. The pistes are well groomed or left to develop moguls as appropriate to the grade of skier. All levels are catered for including experts(snow permitting). Mountain friends guiding service is the friendliest in Alberta, and great for parties with mixed skiing abilities. The appartments were roomy with good facilities, grocery store not great though, so advise shopping in Invermere on the way if self catering in earnest. Dining and bars limited, but there is a full range from budget pub grub to fine dining. Great to be in the outdoor hot pools after skiing. Panorama Springs apts have direct access We cannot wait to go back, but maybe wall to wall sunshine influenced our views.

Just got back from Panorama resort and had a fabulous time with my two teenagers! Having been quite concerned about this resort based on some of the reviews i'd seen on other sites I questioned Ski Safari and was justifiably reassured. Yes, this is a long way to travel, especially for one week as we did. There is around a three and a half hour transfer from Calgary but if you are mentally prepared and it's daylight, the views during the journey are spectacular!. Once at the resort, we found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient. Our accommodation (a one bed gold condo in the 1000 peaks Summit) was excellent and well equipped with TV, DVD, Hifi, Cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and even a dishwasher. The Skiing is fabulous! 120 different runs of varying standards to suit all abilities. The grading system was quite different to those I've experienced in Europe and a few of the easier slopes were still pretty steep in places. The snow wasn't at its best while we were there (during the olympics) and despite the resorts best efforts some of the prettiest runs to be found in the Sun Bowl were quite thin and patchy which was a shame for us but would be stunning with better snow conditions. However, the resort staff did a great job bashing and grooming some of the best (and longest) runs I've experienced. Apres ski here is limited so don't go expecting wild nights out in bustling bars and restaurants. Under 19's are not allowed in the bars after 8pm and the choices of restaurants and their menus were more than a little limited. Consequently it seemed that most people disappear to their Condo's shortly after the last runs of the day. The organisation by Ski Safari was absolutely flawless with arrangements for transfers, accommodation, lift passes, ski hire etc all going without a hitch. I would definately book with them again and may well return to Panorama for the Skiing but hopefully when I do, there will be more to do in the evening!

Generally a well run resort. The piste grading is a little suspect with little noticeable difference between some blues and blacks - beginners may be taken by surprise at the gradient of some blues. Experts will enjoy the Taynton Bowl. Little in way of restaurants at the base - choice of 3 only. On mountain dining is helped by the Summit Hut (hot snack type food) and Elkhorn Cabin (homestyle food with limited menu) - both have a licence! Locals said the drier months are Jan & Feb, so go in Dec or March for best chance of snow? Even with no snow in 2 weeks, Taynton Bowl was still fresh (if tracked out) and the piste bashers kept the groomers in great shape.

March 2009. Did not enjoy the 4hr trip from the airport in a "Transit" but The Panorama village complex made up for our initial disappointment. Our 2 bed 2 bath flat at 1000 Peaks Lodge was excellent having everything needed for self catering including a coin op Laundry. The village shop was poorly stocked but a half our ride on the free shuttle bus takes you to a supermarket at Invermere.(check times of bus with reception they don't always run to the times published) Wherever you are in the village you are only a short walk (for us 200yds)to the lift or by using the free Village Gondola which connects the lower part of the village to the area near the lift.The snow was good with all but the very top runs being fully covered.The locals said it was their worst snow for 20 years.A free guide to the different runs is organised by a group of retired men and women who have volunteered to take holiday makers to the runs suitable for their ability.No queues for the lift but got a little busy at weekend.Overall 9 out of 10
