Dining

The Stemwinder Bar & Grill - The Kimberley après spot. The Stemwinder features a full-service bar complete with heated outdoor seating for those that like the outside as well as an expanded sun deck patio for the BBQ cookouts located at the base of the resort. This is the spot for Après ski music and entertainment.

Slopeside Coffee & Deli - Get your coffee fix here. Proudly brewing Starbucks Coffee, fresh deli sandwiches, soups and salads, the Slopeside will get you fueled up and on the slopes in no time. Located in the Polaris Lodge, next to the Resort Rental Shop.

Kootenay Haus - The Resort's Mountaintop warming hut offers a small area for enjoying your bagged lunch as well as washroom facilities. Access is available from the top of the North Star Express Quad.

Shopping

Sports Alpine - in a new home with a new name, Alpine Sports can be found in its brand new log cabin in the Plaza area between the Polaris Lodge and Trickle Creek Lodge. Featuring all the latest alpine gear, as well as great gift ideas, Alpine Sports is the one stop shop in Kimberley.

Kimberley’s Platzl - a shopper's paradise. Many stores catering to many needs. Find the trip memento you’ve been looking for or stumble onto the greatest find - the shopping in Kimberley is not to be missed.

Activities

Night Skiing - Experience skiing & boarding under the lights. Offered to guests on the "Main" run. Thursdays - Saturdays from 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

Mountain Host Tours - daily at 10.30am and 1pm, Mountain Hosts (look for the yellow jackets) give free tours of the mountain.

Cross Country Skiing - Located at the resorts upper base next to Inn West/Kirkwood Condos. One of the largest trail systems in the East Kootneys and lighted for night skiing. The Nordic Center Society runs the X-Country area. Kimberley Alpine Resort offers rental skis for nordic skiing at the Rental Shop located at the base of the hill.

Snowshoeing - With a couple of 2 hr tours to choose from including the Kootenay Fondue Experience which includes a Chocolate fondue in the Mountain top Kootenay Haus.

Fat biking - take a 2 hour guided tour with smores included, or hire the kit and have fun with a different way to explore the mountain.

Skating - Kimberley Alpine Resort's outdoor Skating Rink is located behind the Alpine Sport's Boutique and is open for us daily, skates are available at the rental shop. Every Tuesday and Saturday Night from 6:00pm - 8:00pm keep warm by the fire.

The above activities are booked through the Winter Sports School.

Bowling - A great family activity in the town.

Childcare Facilities

Wildhorse Childcare (ages 18 months to 5 years) - Need a place for the kids to go during the day? Visit the friendly resort childcare staff. Open from 9:00am - 4:00pm daily, 7 times a week, unless otherwise posted. (Closed for Christmas Day.). Parents can order a lunch for their child, or provide a packed lunch or pick them up for lunch.
