Great skiing with fantastic snow. The only other thing to thing about is what to do when you get a “Big White, whiteout day”. On these days there are some great underrated play gentle slopes in the village, enough to keep you happy until the weather changes. If it’s a blue sky day, the skiing is amazing, doesn’t get any better. We have been for many years but noticed this time (post covid) that the village is struggling with restaurants. A few have closed down and the supermarket fresh meats etc seem to have disappeared. Hopefully now that travel has resumed things might pick up. It’s a great ski in, ski out resort. Easy to navigate and suitable for all levels. The snow quality is superb, light fluffy powder.

Big White is a beautiful mountain. It is only 55 minutes from Kelowna and after winding up the hill in our shuttle in a snowstorm we arrived late at night. Skied with the hosts on the first morning which was invaluable especially as we were only there for 4 days skiing, they did give us loads of tips on where to ski to make the most of the excellent varied terrain. The ski area is huge, so spread out, and plenty of skiing for experts and advanced. Loved the village feel and the ski in/out. We heard they get a lot of low cloud, but we were super lucky with the weather, it was super cold and the snow stayed so fresh, the snow ghosts were beautiful

Big White is aptly named - the snow is amazing but that means white outs are likely too. We started the week with snow then had 3 beautiful sunny days, which were amazing. The skiing was fantastic, there are so many options from each lift that the pistes were always empty and there is something for everyone. Skiing through the trees and the ‘snow ghosts’ was especially memorable. At the end of January it was very cold on the lifts but manageable with lots of layers and good wind proof gear. Hand warmers very useful if you want to take any photos…

Compact and easily accessible, very well organised transfer arrangements; Brilliant snow conditions - first time outside Europe and like skiing on velvet - knees and joints appreciated soft texture. Only downside, the resort is prone to fog/low cloud and apparently costs of food etc in only supermarket have doubled since last year. Masters Week was excellent as able to meet up and socialise and ski with new friends from course.
