The scenery is stunning and Banff beautiful. The people in Banff are very friendly and laid back. If you're not on a budget, Saltlik restaurant is superb - excellent food and service. It was my first time skiing, but my boyfriend's tenth - we had separate 3 day skiing lesson courses in Sunshine Village and both of us highly recommend them. This is the place to be - it is fantastic. Champagne powder at Sunshine, particularly in the morning. Skiing is good there but boarding is better. Mind you this is the case anywhere!!!

We've skied this area several times and are heading there again this Easter. Had great powder and off piste at Sunshine and enjoyed the well groomed runs at Lake Louise. Banff is good for restaurants and shopping.
