Whitefish Mountain Resort is an authentic, laid-back resort in the Northwest Montana Rockies, just seven miles from the beautiful town of Whitefish.

The formerly named 'Big Mountain Resort' receives more than 300 inches of snow each year over 3,000 acres of world-class tree skiing, alpine bowls and long cruisers with the stunning backdrop of Glacier National Park.

With new one stop flights via Salt Lake City into Kalispell (Glacier Park International Airport), this previously hard to reach resort is now more accessible and makes an attractive option for couples looking for a romantic holiday or groups looking to have fun both on and off the mountain.

The former railroad town of Whitefish, located in north west Montana, is an authentic American ski town, with coloured store fronts, traditional western hotels, a relaxed vibe and pioneer spirit. If you stay in town, it's just a 10 minute shuttle ride to the resort, and you'll be closer to the buzzing nightlife.

Whitefish is also easily accessible from Canada (Fernie is only two hours away across the border), making it an excellent option as part of a Rockies Loop Ski Safari. Alternatively, use a free stopover in Salt Lake City to combine with America's largest ski resort, Park City.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Skiing - A lovely mountain with lots of varied skiing. Bowl skiing, tree runs, steep faces, moguls aplenty yet no crowds or queues to speak of. Mountain village - no food shops and in general felt remote as the town is some distance away.

Great town, good restaurants and bars, friendly people.

Whitefish the town - great. We will go back again and again. Up the hill to the resort, we felt as though we were the only Brits to discover this fantastic secret. Not only that, most of our American friends also say 'Where?'. Montana is amazing - Glacier and Waterton National Parks are immense. The snow, the skiing, the place, the bar (Bierstube), the people ... But please don't tell too many of your friends, we don't want it spoilt for our next trip.

It's Not Quite Spring Yet

2nd March 2018 - Craig Charley

It's been a while since our last snow report, but with the UK looking particularly wintery right now we thought it was about time for an update on conditions in our resorts. The first report is from the seaside here in Hove, where a couple of centimetres of snow wasn't enough to keep us away from...

Epic January Conditions All Over

26th January 2018 - Craig Charley

What a start to the year it's been. From Canada to Japan via Switzerland, resorts are reporting metre-plus snowfall for the past week. We're not even halfway through the season yet, but 20 of our resorts have already passed the five metre mark and one of them is very close to an unbelievable 10...
