Went out on the Sunday and it was soooo busy - such a surprise from Grand Targhee or Big Sky. However we then got lots of powder and so had a fantastic time on the Monday/Tuesday. Runs are very steep and technical and would be very difficult if no powder. Very few groomed runs and lots of moguls when we first arrived. Ideally suited to experienced skiers unless you know a storm is going to hit - then Snowboarders can fill their boots with the massive blacks. Best runs were the Hobacks. The town is great for Apres Ski although quite pricey (as all the resorts were) with lots of great bars and restaurants. Very busy place and commercial.

Jackson Hole is a beautiful mid-western town full of cowboys, big trucks and the most picturesque scenery. Teton Village is around a 25 minute bus journey from JH, which gives you the time to appreciate the scenery and vast mountain range. The hill itself is geared up for the more intermediate / advanced rider. The terrain is steep and if you don't get the promised powder dump which makes this place a dream to ride, it can be tough for a beginner. once the powder drops, it's a fantastic day of riding deep and steep off piste and in the trees.

We had a great time at Jackson Hole. Preferring to ski in and ski out we stayed up in Teton Village which was perfect. We made the 1/2 hr journey by bus in to a Jackson a couple of times in the evenings which was fun. Food was quite good but a bit pricey for what it was. Helpful if you enjoy meat and lots of it!! The skiing was fantastic. Well organised, helpful staff in and around the resort. Highlights : fantastic days skiing with our family, the Iditarod Dog Sledding in the Teton National Forest and snowmobiling in Yellowstone National Park. We were worried that being intermediate skiers, we might struggle but we were absolutely fine. Great snow helped. We had a fabulous family ski holiday.
