We had a great time in Stöten. We found plenty of runs to keep our mixed ability group happy. The ski school was the best our kids have had (according to them!). The instructors & lifties were so happy and friendly. The kids ended up skiing in the trees most of the time and the older ones tackled their first blacks here! We found plenty of varied lunch options which were reasonably priced. We used the free swimming pool a couple of times and sampled the apres ski. There are a couple of very good warming huts we used (they even have microwaves & fridges) and there are warm juice stations at the bottom of some of the lifts. This was our first time in Sweden and found it a lot cheaper than Norway. We would definitely recommend Stöten for families with young children ready to try more challenging terrain in a quiet & friendly environment.

Stoten is a great resort. Superb snow conditions and really well maintained slopes. Very family friendly. All the staff from the lift attendants to ski instructors that we came into contact were friendly, helpful, happy and always ready to engage in conversation. Children's ski instructors are fabulous and they also run the Vargy club for children in the afternoon and do a great job.

Very good family resort. Enough variety for a week's skiing and particularly good for beginners, but also some nice more challenging runs. Everything conveniently located near ski hotel IE main lift, ski hire, bowling, swimming pool. Only drawback is that the ski lesson meeting point is further away, though I understand this because that is where the easier slopes are. My girls, who are intermediates, changed their instructor meeting point after the first day.
