The Riksgränsen Hotel offers good facilities and a range of accommodation from simply furnished "skiers" rooms to the more stylish "hotel" rooms.

This is the main hub in Riksgränsen. Two highlights are the excellent award-winning Lapplandia restaurant and spa with indoor pool. This overlooks the Vassijaure frozen lake with indoor and outdoor hot tubs to relax in after a day out on the slopes.

The slopes are a short walk away through a snow-covered tunnel and the rental shop is also in the hotel. When you come back in at the end of the day, relax by the fireplace or head to the bar for afterski. The underground bar has a stage, and Scandinavian bands frequently perform here - it gets pretty lively at weekends! This is a resort for the keen skiers and boarders only, and the atmosphere in the hotel is electric.

Beds: Available in 3 configurations: single sofa bed and pullout, 2 single sofa beds and pullout, double sofa bed and bunk bed.
  • Smaller rooms with 1-4 beds. Popular amongst regular guests. Linen is provided, but you need to make your own bed.
  • Bathroom with shower and WC
  • Max occupancy: 1-4 adults
Double Room
Sleeps: x3 Size: 12-20m2
Beds: Available in single bed, double bed, double bed with pullout and double bed with double sleeper sofa configurations.

The hotel could do with a little TLC but it's location is second to none, the staff very friendly & helpful, food really great and the atmosphere great. You are able to take your boots and skis to the room or if you so choose leave the skis outside overnight - perfectly safe to so so.

Overall was good - we also stayed in Björkliden at hotel Fjället which we felt was a higher standard.

Really only one word to say about the hotel. Brilliant. Everything you could wish for under one roof, food, accommodation, service, friendliness etc., all of the highest order.
