The ICEHOTEL is a property with a difference - every year it’s built from scratch making it truly unique each time
The crystal clear ice is taken from the waters of the local river Torne. It’s used to create the hotel and also exported all over the world to the famous ICEBAR® in London, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Istanbul. The hotel has its range of rooms available for viewing during the day. The Art Suites and Deluxe room are works of art in their own right. Each is expertly sculpted following an individual theme that has been painstakingly designed and created. These are available for over night stays along with the simpler snow and ice rooms. With an ICEBAR® and chapel there’s a room for every occasion.
The Icehotel 365 offers a year-round ice experience - the permanent building has a refrigerated interior which allows 20 suites, the ICEBAR® and an ice art gallery to withstand the warmer temperatures of spring and summer. Strangely enough it feels colder than the temporary ICEHOTEL itself - the insulating effects of snow are counteracted by the temperature control! There are two room types in the Icehotel 365 - Deluxe Suites and Art Suites - and the Deluxe Suites have ensuite (heated) bathrooms with saunas.
