Phoenix Park Ski Holidays

It may be small, but Phoenix Park is built with convenience in mind. Great intermediate and learner slopes, and particularly known for their parks and half pipe.

One of the best known ski resorts in South Korea due to its proximity to Seoul, Phoenix Park is fun and lively, especially known amongst the snowboarding community for its freestyle terrain and the parks.

There are two main peaks, Mont Blanc and Phoenix Peak - each giving access to a variety of intermediate terrain. Beginner lessons take place at the base area and on the long and mellow Sparrow run, and to get to the top of the highest peak, Mont Blanc, requires a trip on the gondola. The resort can get busy on the weekends, but has a great buzz to it, and you’ll find yourself with the place to yourself during the week. The bustling base area has a multitude of eating and drinking venues and the pumping music and brightly dressed locals give you a real feel for the South Korean ski culture. If you haven’t skied enough during the day, the fun continues until 4am!

Many ski resorts are built to accommodate both summer and winter guests, and with this in mind, large water parks are created to keep visitors entertained all year round. The Blue Canyon is still a relatively new complex, opened in 2008, and has a total size of 10,000m2. Wave machines, a lazy river, and slides provide hours of entertainment and a great idea for an afternoon off the slopes.

Famous for an appearance in a popular Korean drama called Autumn in my Heart, you’ll find cut outs of various scenes from the show dotted around the resort, and fans lining up to take photos with their favourite characters.

The Winter Olympics in 2018 will see Phoenix Park host the Ski Moguls, Aerials, Ski Cross and a number of snowboarding events such as the Parallel Giant Slalom, Snowboard Cross and Half Pipe.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.
