Summary

Discover a quieter ski holiday at your own pace, with time to relax and unwind at three of Norway's most luxurious spa hotels.

Experience and explore Norway’s peaceful, serene winter in style. Stay at two of the country’s most luxurious spa hotels in two gentle and quiet resorts, Geilo and Norefjell. Ski wide, uncrowded slopes, relax in the excellent spa, and try some non-ski activities if you don’t want to ski first to last lift.

The drive between resorts through Buskerud county is spectacular, passing forested valleys, vast lakes and snow-covered mountains. The roads are gentle, and with the longest journey just 3 ½ hours, you won't be cutting into your skiing time.

When you're not skiing or relaxing in the spa, there are plenty of other activities to try, including dog sledding, tobogganing and snowshoeing, available to try at your own pace.

Before you fly home, immerse yourself in Norwegian culture and enjoy a 5* luxury spa hotel stay in the country's capital, Oslo.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Geilo

Fly into Oslo and pick up your rental car at the airport. With a morning flight it’s an easy afternoon’s drive to Geilo.

Ideal for beginners and nervous intermediates, there are plenty of winter activities to keep non-skiers happy. Stay at the ski-in ski-out 4*+ Vestlia Resort, a Ski Safari customer favourite and World Travel Awards winner in 2012 and 2013. Along with a luxurious adults-only spa, there's a separate family pool and kids' soft play area.

Norefjell

Drive to Norefjell where you'll discover a tranquil resort, little known among British skiers. Featuring Norway's greatest vertical drop, you can ski all the way from the summit to the fjord below, taking in spectacular alpine views on your way down.

Triple award winner in the 2015 World Travel Awards, the 4*+ Norefjell Ski & Spa offers a relaxing indoor / outdoor spa area spread over two floors, along with an ice skating rink, climbing wall and a toboggan run for the more adventurous.

Oslo

End your ski safari with a night or two in Norway's capital, Oslo, staying at the luxurious 5* spa hotel The Thief. Drop the car off at the airport first and then take the express train into the city - Oslo's excellent metro and tram system makes it easy to get around. Located close to the city centre in Oslo's waterfront area, The Thief is an excellent base for exploring the world class museums and galleries and vibrant café and bar culture. That's if you can pull yourself away from resting your ski legs in the spa!
