Skier or Snowboarder
Grew up skiing, then tried snowboarding and much prefer going sideways.
Ski/Boarding History
I grew up skiing because my Dad skied, which meant I didn’t really get a choice, it was either learn to ski or spend a lot of time sitting in ski cafés pretending I wasn’t jealous. What started as family trips quickly turned into an annual ritual, which over time evolved into travelling with friends, and sometimes families.
Best Mountain Moment
One of my favourite mountain moments was in Norway when I was about 14. It wasn’t dramatic, there were no epic powder shots or life-changing sunsets, it was simply the longest run I’d ever managed without falling on my face. I still remember getting to the bottom, slightly surprised, slightly relieved and immediately receiving what felt like very serious approval from my friend and his dad, which at 14 basically felt like being knighted. It was probably the first time I realised I might actually be getting the hang of snowboarding, or at least getting better at hiding when I wasn’t.
Favourite Ski Safari
I’m yet to go on my first Ski Safari trip but I’ll be out on the slopes soon filming our amazing team & creating lots of content!
Last Resorts Visited
My last trip was to Ischgl in Austria.
Next Trip
TBC! I’d love to go to Japan, and after recently watching some of the teams' Lake Tahoe footage, that is now firmly on my list too.
Interesting Fact
I filmed my first family holiday when I was still in primary school. It didn’t really stop there. Every holiday with my mates that I went on eventually turned into a group production project, where all my friends would send me their photos and videos afterwards and I’d quietly disappear for a few days after the holiday to turn it into a film. The tradition then became everyone coming round to watch it back, usually discovering moments they didn’t remember and occasionally wishing I hadn’t captured quite as much as I did. Looking back, it probably explains why I ended up doing this for a living.
Top Ski Trip Recommendation
I’d always recommend choosing a resort based on the overall experience you want, not just the skiing. Things like atmosphere, ease of access, accommodation location and the type of holiday pace you enjoy can make a huge difference and that’s where expert advice really helps ensure the trip feels right from start to finish.
