Skier or snowboarder
Skier without a doubt, I have tried and failed to learn to snowboard on several occasions, I just don’t think I was built for it.

Ski history
I was initiated into skiing as a child with the classic school ski trips, 30 hours on a smelly coach and staying in grimy hostels – I was hooked! I started doing ski seasons aged 18 as a “gap year” and was somehow still doing them 9 years later. I decided to stop living out of a suitcase in 2016 and have been working in this side of the ski industry since.

Best mountain moment
My first foray into off-piste skiing in San Cassiano in the Dolomites, wonderful sense of accomplishment and such great memories. I rewarded myself with a very big pizza afterwards.

Favourite ski safari
Whistler Peaks Ski Safari - love the difference between the huge power house resort of Whistler and the beautiful friendly village feel in Sun Peaks and in both you are getting so much terrain to explore. The trip ticks so many skiing boxes!

Hoping to take the family and help my 5 and 3 year old to catch the skiing bug.

Interesting fact
Before I discovered skiing, I was a dedicated figure skater, competing regularly and training most mornings before school at 6am. Winter sports seem to be my thing - I’ve not been brave enough to try the skeleton yet though.

Top ski trip recommendation
Buy your own ski boots and get fitted for footbeds. They make such a huge difference to your control of your skis and enjoyment of skiing. Sore, cold feet are the worst! My other tip is to sing your way down the trickier terrain, it takes your mind off what you’re doing and feeling more relaxed will improve your skiing!
