At Riddergaarden Hotel & Mountain Lodge, you won't get much closer to the slopes and ski school, where you can begin your day steps away from the Ola-Expressen and Barneheisen lifts.

Classy and cosy, Riddergaarden is perfect for couples, groups and families looking for an extra special stay. As with so many of our recommended Norwegian ski destinations, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The beautifully arranged, ambient apartments range from the classic Studio to the Grand Master Suite with a private sauna. Each has a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, under-floor heated entrance for your ski gear, and views across the ski slopes or the Jotunheimen Mountains.

As a Ski Safari guest, you’ll enjoy a complimentary ski locker and two hours’ daily access to Ridderbadet Spa (don’t forget to book your spot, though), which has an indoor/outdoor pool with waterfalls, hot tub, sauna and a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. When you're ready to quell your hunger, enjoy breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner at the Italian-inspired Casa Montagne restaurant, serving authentic homemade pasta and pizza, as well as British dishes. Be sure to try their homemade gelato too, it really hits the spot! And if you are with little ones, they can let off steam in the soft play area nearby. If that's not enough, there's a dedicated children's play pool, and children may join an accompanying adult in the spa area until 3pm (up to 6pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays).
